If was actually smart, had a real position, or used puns or satire effectively, maybe you could claim this was cancel culture run amok. Instead it's just a sad sack of privileged white male douchebag who's upset that the world is changing and decided the best way to protest was to make the shittiest version of The Onion imaginable.
Cancel culture is happening on the right as well. State Republican parties censuring (not censoring, different thing) politicians who didn't have their lips locked tight on the former president's ass, or the former president himself with his constant claim that he will help campaign against any Republican who doesn't worship him properly. As is common in politics, the true believers see as their greatest enemy those within their own ranks who do not pass ideological tests (the People's Party of Judea fighting against the Judean People's Party).
If cancel culture on the left is bad, then let's also agree that cancel culture on the right is also bad. We can meet in the middle and agree that the extremes of both parties are populated by no talent ass clowns.
Yes, but that's inter-party politics and only politicians on politicians. Who on the left gets canceled that's just an every day person with a job? I'm sure there have to be some examples, but by and large the normal people that get canceled most often are conservatives with unpopular opinions.
